Dr. Thomas A. Kendig was born on September 21, 1914 in Pasadena, California. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1939 and interned at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, 1939-40. He was a resident in radiology at Henry Ford Hospital, 1940-41, Letterman General Hospital, 1944-45 and Los Angeles General Hospital, 1945-46. He came to Hawaii in 1972 and was associated with the Kaiser Medical Group before joining the Fronk Clinic in Honolulu in 1974. He and his wife, Sally, left the islands in 1976.
He was a member of the American College of Radiology, the American College of Physicians, The Radiology Society of North America, The American Medical Association, the Hawaii Medical Association and the Honolulu County Medical Society.
Dr. Kendig died on December 17, 1999.
