Kendig Gathering (Bi Annual)

The 2008 Kendig gathering will be held on Sunday the 9th of July in the High Pavilion at East Lampeter Community Park just east of Lancaster Pennsylvania, (use this link for a satellite view - note the ball field). Use this link for a review of the 2004 event. This community park is in the middle of Lancaster county just off Witmer road - very close to the Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park. Planning continues for a Kendig gathering for the 300th anniversary of Martin Kendig's arrival in North America. This Kendig gathering would be in 2010 in Lancaster Pennsylvania.

In preparation for this gathering, some Kendigs are considering bi annual Kendig gatherings on even years (2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008) also in Lancaster Pennsylvania. If you find it convenient, the odd years work well for reunions among smaller Kendig branches.

The first Lancaster County Kendig reunion at Hobson Park was in 1999 and was a pig roast presented by Kenny and Toots Lichty for their friends and family.
